Currently, three styles of exquisite hand mirrors are offered. The round straight handle and round designer handle have the highest quality beveled 5 inch diameter mirror glass on one side, with inlaid marquetry scenes on the opposite side. The oval straight handle mirror likewise has a beveled mirror which is 4 inches by 6 inches in size on one side, with inlaid marquetry on the other side.
The frame wood is available in either Cocobolo, a very beautiful exotic wood from Mexico and South America, or Birdseye Maple, a striking variation of domestic Maple that is located in the Northern reaches of Michigan. Cocobolo has a very pronounced grain configuration with rich colors ranging from very dark brown tones to medium orange tones. Birdseye Maple has a lighter background color with several darker"eyes" (similar in appearance to immature buds) dispersed throughout. This wood is rather rare and is considered a "domestic exotic" wood.
Birdseye Maple round straight or designer handle mirrors are priced at $115 each, and the oval straight handle version is $125. Cocobolo mirrors are an additional $20 each.
