Inlaid wooden jewelry boxes, inlaid wooden hand mirrors , inlaid custom furniture, and wall mirrors are just some of the inlaid veneer creations and artwork (called Marquetry) offered. All of my inlaid veneer creations are designed and crafted by my hand. The result is heirloom quality treasures.
All my inlaid hardwood jewelry boxes, furnishings and marquetry accessories are produced by hand, using no lasers or computer guided equipment. I specialize in exotic hardwoods such as  Birdseye maple, bloodwood, cocobolo, rosewood, and others to produce jewelry boxes and heirloom quality furnishings.

An amateur woodworker for over thirty years, I retired from my engineering profession and started New Creation Wood in 2001. I offer  Marquetry Art expression on fine furniture, jewelry chests, wall mirrors, and wall art.

Marquetry Art involves assembling hand cut pieces of wood veneer together to form geometric designs or pictorial images which are presented as wall art or custom furniture adornment.  I use no lasers or computer guided equipment, preferring to scroll saw or knife cut the individual pieces of veneer in order to impart the my soul into the work.

 Over 100 species of of domestic and exotic wood veneers from all reaches of our world are available for my creations. The beautiful colors are all natural, as I apply only clear finish for protection. Due to this natural process, each item is a one of a kind creation enhancing the natural characteristics of the wood.
Each of my creations is individually hand crafted and I select the image's wood veneers paying close attention to contrasting colors and grain patterns for the finest artistic expression.
